Wesley
T. Leonard, born in Tallahassee, Florida, has been
preaching the gospel for 21 years. He currently serves as
Minister of the Southside Church of Christ in Orlando, Florida,
and has been there since December 1999. Throughout this period,
the congregation has experienced tremendous growth. Previously,
he served as Minister at the Springhill Road Church of Christ in
Tallahassee, Florida.
Among his many accomplishments, Leonard is an Official State of
Florida Pre/Post Marriage Counselor and a trained Bereavement
Counselor. He has facilitated numerous Marriage Enrichment
seminars throughout the brotherhood; and has conducted meetings
in Africa, the Caribbean, and several regions across the United
States. Leonard has authored the publication entitled, Soul
Winning, a compilation of practical lessons on the
methodology Christians can employ to effectively teach those who
are lost. He is currently working on publishing a Book of
Sermons, and a handbook edition of Biblical Answers to
Everyday Questions.
Leonard was employed with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare for 18
years. He was a Certified Surgical Technologist for 17 years, as
a member of the Heart Transplant Unit where he served as Team
Leader and Procurement Coordinator. He was affectionately known
as the man who worked on hearts “physically” and “spiritually”.
He has been married to the former Pamela Hadley since August 30,
1980. They have been blessed with 2 children, Johnathan Wesley,
and Briana LeeAnn. He is devoted to his wife and children and is
a dedicated family man. Leonard has a passion for golf and other
sporting activities, and enjoys these in his recreational time.
His commitment to live in a right relationship with God,
together with his growing interest and abilities in the areas of
public speaking and community service, provide for the
foundation on which he steadfastly and eagerly stands in service
as a gospel preacher, minister, and counselor in the Lord’s
Church.
